Lorain City Schools is in the final stages of a district-wide improvement program, which involved additions and construction of new schools in partnership with the Ohio School Facilities Commission. Hammond recently completed the new Lorain High School, the last school in the district’s 12-year building program. The innovative school features 21st century learning environments, an 800-seat auditorium and is designed to look and feel like a college campus. The school includes a large career tech wing including automotive care, spray shop, TV studio, Hospitality and restaurant amenities.
