Giese Center for the Performing Arts

Alliance, OH

University of Mount Union

With the demolition of Rodman Playhouse to make way for the new Gallaher Hall, the University of Mount Union sought to build a new performing arts theater to meet the current needs of its performing arts programs. The Center houses the Department of Performing Arts and includes the Art Gallery, Black Box Theatre, Cope Music Hall and Performance Hall in addition to a library, recital hall, green room, scene shop, costume shop and dressing rooms. The highlight of the facility is a proscenium theater with a balcony and full first floor that seats 450 people.
