Brunswick 6-8 Middle School

Hammond Construction partnered with Brunswick City Schools for the construction of a new middle school and stadium complex. The building site was sandwiched between two operational middle schools, which were demolished upon completion of the new building. The tiered building site required extensive site work and property acquisitions to accommodate the new building and soccer/track stadium. The 234,000 square foot building features pod-style learning. Each pod features four classrooms, a common learning space, restrooms, and a student resource room. There is a spacious cafeteria with outdoor seating, designated art and music classrooms, a 700-seat auditorium, and Project Lead the Way classrooms. The project was completed in phases, with the new school opening in Fall of 2020, and the stadium opening in 2021.
