North Olmsted 6-12 Middle High School
Hammond Construction was selected as the construction manager at risk by North Olmsted City Schools and the OFCC to build a transformational new campus in the heart of the city’s historical district. The site of the new 6-12 building is located on the old Middle School campus, in close proximity to many neighbors and the existing high school campus. The new school takes on the feel of a college campus and takes notes from nearby community buildings to maintain a historical context. The high school and middle school have separate entrances, but will have shared resources, including the kitchen, art and music programs. An 870-seat performing arts center and athletic stadium are also part of the design. Tennis courts, baseball fields and athletic fields are also planned for the south end of the property, where the existing high school currently sits.
Overcoming not only a 4-6 week delay caused by protracted views by the city’s boards, commissions and departments before building permits were issued but also “expected” events such as unfavorable weather conditions and unexpected events such as adverse soil conditions, Hammond Construction completed and delivered the facilities on time and on budget…Finally, both personally and professionally, I attest to the ethical integrity of Hammond Construction, its partners and employees regarding their involvement with this project.”
